Iris G. Morrison, 78, of Vandalia passed away at 9:15am, Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at Fayette County Hospital Long Term Care.
Services will be held at 11:00am, Friday, August 4, 2017 at Hohlt & File Funeral Home, Vandalia. Visitation will be held from 9:00-11:00am prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Sidener Cemetery, St. Elmo. Memorials may be made to Fayette County Hospital Long Term Care Activity Fund. Online condolences may be left at www.hohltandfilefh.com
Iris G. Morrison was born June 16, 1939 in Vandalia, the daughter of Norval and Lillie (McEndollar) Chrisman.
She was an Operator for the IL Bell Telephone Company and later a custodian for Evans Public Library. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Vandalia and also regularly attended Christ Tabernacle Church in Herrick, IL
Survivors include daughters Carla and husband Russell Huhn, Jan and husband Aaron Lay, and Karen and husband Josh Plum all of Vandalia; sister-in-law Donna Chrisman of Vandalia; grandchildren Ashley Metzger and fiancé Drake Thompson, Nicholas Metzger, Kadi Metzger, Austin Lay, Blake Morrison, Ava, Cooper, and Eli Plum; and great grandson Brody Miller.
She was preceded in death by her parents, infant son Steven Morrison, brother Stanley Chrisman, and infant grandson Andrew Lay.
