
Daniel Eugene Hall, 69, of Vandalia passed away on January 20, 2017 at Fayette County Hospital ER.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00am, Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Hohlt & File Funeral Home, Vandalia with Rev. Joe Lawson officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00pm, Monday, January 23, 2017 at Hohlt & File Funeral Home and 1 hour prior to services Tuesday.
Burial will follow in Fairlawn Cemetery, Vandalia with Military Rites accorded by Crawford-Hale American Legion Post # 95, Vandalia, IL & Brownstown VFW Post #9770. Dan was born August 21, 1947 in Vandalia the son of Donald F and Norma Jean (Carson) Hall.
He was a truck driver and later an assistant manager at PN Hirsch Warehouse; he later retired as Shipping Supervisor from John Crane. Dan served in the US Air Force July 1966 – June 1970. He was a member of Vandalia American Legion Post #95, Masons Temperance Lodge #16, and a life member of Ducks Unlimited; Dan really enjoyed going to Senior Renewal and socializing with friends.
He is survived by sons Shawn Hall of Charleston, WV, TJ Hall and wife Allison of Ramsey, daughter Annette McClintock and Gary Redfern of Vandalia, grandsons Hayden Hall and Bradyn McClintock, special friend Viola Blankenship of Vandalia.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
