(Caseyville, IL) — The owner of a Caseyville motel is facing five sex-related charges, including solicitation of a child, as the result of a months-long undercover investigation. Fifty-eight-year-old Popatlal Patel is accused of using his Rodeway Inn as a place of prostitution and fpr disguising the proceeds as his business income. He’s also accused of propositioning a person he thought was a girl under the age of 17 for sex, once for another person, and on another occasion for himself, but the girl was actually a female state trooper. The Metropolitan Enforcement Group of Southern Illinois conducted the investigation.
