(Springfield, IL) — New efforts are being made to exonerate a man who was convicted nearly a decade ago of killing his family. Prosecutors say Christopher Vaughn shot and killed his wife and three children during a trip that was intended to take them from Oswego to Knights Action Park in Springfield in 2007. Private investigator Bill Clutter says Vaughn was convicted after a series of mishaps and misconduct. Clutter is the founder of The Illinois Innocence Project.
