(Springfield, IL) — New measures are being taken to protect children from online exploitation. Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul said yesterday that new efforts will be made that include a series of free digital safety webinars through the state’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. Topics will include maintaining a safe online environment, learning about apps such as Snapchat and TikTok, helping young people deal with aggressive online behavior, and creating healthy online interactions. Raoul says tips about child exploitation have increased from 33-hundred tips in 2018 to over 51-hundred in 2020.
