(Springfield, IL) — Illinois students are set to receive five excused mental health days each school year. Governor J.B. Pritzker signed a law late last month that will allow students to take a limited number of mental health days without providing a doctor’s note to the school. Students will also be allowed to make up missed school work. The bill takes effect on January 1st, 2022.
