(Chicago, IL) — The top Democrat in the race for Illinois Governor wants to focus on treatment and prevention in his plan to fight opioid abuse in the state. Candidate J.B. Pritzker yesterday unveiled his opioid plan. Along with the usual focus of getting people with opioid addictions into a treatment program or out of jail, Pritzker says he wants to make sure insurance companies in the state cover addiction treatment as they would any other disease.
